Samsung Magician SSD management

Samsung has issued a security warning confirming a serious vulnerability in its Samsung Magician SSD management software that is actively being exploited.
The flaw affects Samsung Magician versions 6.3.0 through 8.3.2 and can allow attackers to gain full system administrator privileges on affected Windows systems.
According to Samsung’s advisory, the vulnerability is tracked as CVE-2025-57836 and carries a CVSS score of 7.8, placing it in the high-severity category.
The issue was originally discovered in August 2025 by security researcher Sandro Poppi and has since moved from a theoretical risk to confirmed exploitation in the wild, significantly increasing its urgency.
In other words, you better update the Samsung Magician software.
